Hot Potato is a pass-the-device game. A hidden random timer is set, and players tap to pass the “potato” to the next person. Whoever is holding it when the timer expires is out.

How to use Hot Potato
- Set a timer range, for example 10 to 30 seconds.
- The actual duration is hidden from players.
- Player 1 taps Pass when ready.
- Continue passing around the group.
- The player holding the potato when it explodes is out or performs a forfeit.

Fairness and probability
The timer duration is chosen uniformly from the selected range and is not revealed to players. Each player has the same chance of being the one holding the potato when it expires, assuming similar pass timing.
